Situated at an altitude of 3,100m—Sailung is located north-west of Kathmandu, where less than 1,000 foreigners pave the way every year.

The destination with lush green vegetation primarily unlocks the beauty of Mahalangur range stretching 180 degrees.

Dhunge is the starting point of this hike, where we arrive by a private vehicle from Kathmandu. In this ride of nearly seven hours, you will get an opportunity to witness the countryside Nepal. The road to Dhunge branches from Mude. You will be cruising through off-road from this point—Mude—and it takes approximately one and a half hours to get in Dhunge.

As we arrive in Dhunge, we will take a break of nearly an hour and prepare for the trek. Initially, we will be walking on a motorable road for a couple of hours and thereafter follow a hiking trail.

We will be reaching an altitude of 3,100m from 1,300m (Kathmandu) hence; we strictly suggest you walk slowly so that no health issues surface. Besides greenery, blossoming red rhododendrons and soaring peaks are key attractions of this pleasant hike.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to the Himalayan nation!

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and escort you to the hotel. It is going to be an orientation day and we will also introduce a trekking guide to you who will be with you for the next three days.

Day 02: Drive to Dhunge/Hike to Sailung (3,100m)

It is going to be an exciting day as we will be riding towards Dhunge—the starting point of Sailung hike. The road till Mude is quite good so you will enjoy the drive comfortably. But from Mude, begins off-road drive. Despite this, the drive will offer you an interesting view of the countryside Nepal. Finally, we get in Dhunge.

After spending an hour in Dhunge, we will head towards Sailung. Initially, we will follow a motorable road followed by a hiking trail to Sailung. The walk is pleasant as you will be walking amid green hills witnessing towering mountains in the background.

Day 03: Get a sunrise view of the mountains/Trek to Dhunge/Drive to Kathmandu

It is an exciting day! We will wake up early in the morning to observe a sunrise view of towering mountains from a view tower. You will get an astounding view of glorious mountains in 180 degrees. This is truly mesmerizing!

Now we retrace the path to a teahouse for breakfast. At around 8:00 am, we will leave this beautiful village of Sailung and proceed towards Dhunge.

It takes approximately three and a half hours to arrive in Dhunge. It is a downhill trail so take care!

We will catch our vehicle in Dhunge and ride towards Kathmandu.

Day 04: Back to your destination
