The package Kathmandu-Nagarkot-Pokhara is an exotic tour that will not only acquaint you with the cultural aspect of Kathmandu but also unfold the beauty of the Himalayas from the hill station of Nagarkot along with the scenic beauty of Pokhara.
This colorful trip begins from the capital—Kathmandu. We will lead you to all the major attractions of the city that are listed in UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites. Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambhunath, and Bouddhanath are the sites you will be visiting.
The tour extends to Nagarkot which is a nearly two-hour drive from Kathmandu. But prior to this, we will halt in the city of Bhaktapur which is a popular cultural city of Kathmandu Valley.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square (BDS) is the main attraction of this ancient city—Bhadgaun (Bhaktapur). The BDS comprises of four main squares—Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square, and Pottery Square. The 55 Window Palace (PachpannaJhayale Durbar) is the main feature of BDS followed by Golden Gate, Lion’s Gate, and Mini Pashupatinath Temple.
Once done with Bhaktapur, we proceed toward Nagarkot. Earlier, the destination was a retreat center of Shah kings where the general public started flocking in later days, especially after the restoration of democracy in 1990 AD.
Situated at an altitude of 2,200m approximately, the site is probably the most scenic spots located near Kathmandu—at a distance of 32km. The hill station is renowned for a sunrise view of Himalayas. Of a total of 13 Himalaya ranges in Nepal, the site offers a panoramic view of eight ranges. And this is the key reason behind the surging popularity of Nagarkot.
As a cherry at the top, the package also stretches to Pokhara—the City of Lakes. This prime tourist hub of the country has a lot of things to offer. People visit here to get a close look at soaring mountains located in the region of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Further, from the beauty of Himalayas and lakes to the thrilling experience of adventure sports, tourists consider Pokhara as one of the most beautiful holiday destinations of Asia.
